New Y.O.U. Programs Launch

Y.O.U.'s afterschool programs at King Lab in Evanston and Lincoln Junior High School in Skokie have officially begun running and are off to fantastic starts. Both programs have begun providing the holistic support that is the hallmark of all Y.O.U. programs: structured homework help and academic enrichment, social-emotional programming, and a suite of creative enrichment activities. So far, youth have gotten a taste of lyric writing, videography, and improvisational theater games.

Y.O.U. staff members have also been busy meeting with teachers, parents, school social workers, and community partners to continue developing cohesive strategies for serving youth and families together and to coordinate enrichment activities such as weekly book clubs, visual arts classes, and life skills workshops. With our program at Dawes Elementary School set to begin in the next few weeks, we are thrilled to be serving even more youth with our holistic programs.
